Course description

This accredited unit of competency is from the HLT Health Training Package.

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.



You will gain an understanding of;

- Planning an appropriate first aid response

- Performing CPR for both Adults & Children

- Understanding use of an Automated

- External Defibrillator (AED)



A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion of the course. It is recommended that CPR refresher training is completed annually.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirement, however individuals will be required to perform CPR under physical strenuous force as a demonstration for assessment.

Duration

Three (3) hours This unit is also delivered and assessed within the HLTAID003 Apply First Aid one (1) Day course.
